Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from stress through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a solid understanding of medical terminology to effectively address client needs and provide tailored treatments.
Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy services to clients, utilizing various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Assess client needs and preferences through effective communication prior to treatment.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized.
- Document client progress and treatment plans accurately in compliance with company policies.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and suggest follow-up treatments or self-care practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to create a holistic approach to client care.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays if requested.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of massage therapy.
- Excellent standing with the CMTO with a completed registration certification.
