Director of Operations (DOO)
Job Summary
The Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing Operations department and the organization’s operational activities, business development and effective delivery of the organization’s operational performance. Their primary purpose is to make the organization profitable. They will collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies, enhance processes and address complex organizational challenges.
In the areas of special projects, business development, property management, major land developments and capital projects the Director of Operations will develop & implement successful systems and planning in alignment with the organization’s goals and vision. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, highly efficient and a natural leader capable of providing direction, mentorship and guidance to the operations team and championing their departmental vision, strategy and goals.
The Responsibilities
- Financial Management
- Operations and Organizational Management
- Business Development & Procurement
- Property, Project & Program Management
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in First Nation Economic Development.
· Strong knowledge for First Nations Business management, leading projects and programs
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (MBA ideal)
- Will consider years of experience with education including senior level management and will support ongoing training
- Knowledge of business finances, planning, budgeting, proposal writing and reporting.
Salary & Benefits:
· Negotiable to commensurate with education, training and experience.
