Cashier/Barista
Agora Greek Market is looking for a new part time cashier to join our team!
MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS
Location: 921 Queen St. West - Directly across from Trinity Bellwoods Park
Compensation: $20 an hour + weekly tip out
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Greet customers, answer menu questions etc.
- Prepare and package orders for pick up, take-out and delivery
- Prepare and package catering orders
- Manage orders coming in through Uber, Ritual and Agora app
- Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
- Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Schedule Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier and customer service experience required
- Must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Experience expediting catering orders considered an asset
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
