The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently during busy hours. The Sandwich Maker plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through quality food preparation and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance their experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide excellent customer service
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with kitchen organization for efficient workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Pay: $18.25 per hour
