Company Description PFM Technical Solutions Ltd is an engineering firm based in Victoria, BC, specializing in high-voltage power systems, renewable energy, and advanced industrial automation.
PFM Technical Solutions is currently seeking motivated P.Eng. or E.I.T engineers to join our team and work on power system and control system projects.
Location: Victoria, BC
Work Arrangement: Primarily in-office, with the possibility of some remote workdays
Salary Range: $65,000 – $105,000 per year (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Design of electrical power systems according to CEC standards
- Drafting electrical drawings using AutoCAD
- Performing ETAP simulations, including Load flow , short circuit , protection coordination and Arc Flash studies
- Control system design, including PLC and HMI programming
- Preparation of single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and related documentation
- Supporting engineering design, commissioning, and project execution activities
We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, technically strong, and motivated to work on challenging infrastructure and industrial projects within a collaborative engineering environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity principles.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and experience preparing drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Power Systems, including analysis, modeling, and protection coordination.
- Candidate should have EIT or P.Eng. designation with EGBC.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., CSA, IEEE, NEC) and common power system analysis tools.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Willingness to work on-site at customer locations and occasionally support field testing and commissioning.
Pay: $65,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
