Russel Metals is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to become part of our dynamic sales team at our Halifax, NS branch.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Support: Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist with order processing to ensure seamless buying experience.
- Account Management: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, building value for customers while driving sales growth.
- Entrepreneurship: Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Processing, Warehouse and Shipping Teams to ensure your customers’ orders are fulfilled.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends and customer feedback to anticipate market needs and promote new products effectively.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills
Considered an Asset:
- Post-secondary education in the field of Metallurgy, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- Prior sales experience within the steel/non-ferrous industries.
- Previous purchasing experience.
- Ability to read customers’ metal processing drawings.
