Psychologist / Psychological AssociateJob Summary
Brilliant Minds Counselling and Therapy Centre is a growing multidisciplinary private practice located in London, Ontario. As a small, collaborative clinic, we are passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care that recognizes each individual's unique strengths. Our team of occupational therapists, social workers, and behaviour analysts work together to support children, adolescents, and young adults, and families through a client-centred, collaborative approach.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist or Psychological Associate to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a small practice where your voice matters. Rather than stepping into a rigidly defined role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our leadership team to help shape and grow psychological services within the clinic. We welcome innovation and value collaboration, and we're committed to creating a role that aligns with both your professional interests and the evolving needs of our clients.
The successful candidate will primarily provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support the diagnosis and understanding of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental or psychological concerns. You will also collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop meaningful recommendations that help clients succeed at home, school, work, and in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Assess for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental or mental health concerns within your scope of practice.
- Integrate information from clinical interviews, standardized assessments, behavioural observations, and collateral sources to formulate diagnostic impressions.
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports with practical, evidence-based recommendations for clients, families, schools, and other professionals.
- Provide feedback sessions to clients and caregivers, ensuring assessment results are communicated with empathy and clarity.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, social workers, behaviour analysts, physicians, schools, and other community partners to support integrated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and ethical standards in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
- Contribute ideas that support the continued growth and development of psychological services within the clinic.
- Participate as an active member of a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology or Master's degree with registration as a Psychological Associate, as recognized in Ontario.
- Current registration and good standing with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college.
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational and psychological assessments.
- Experience assessing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and related conditions is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of standardized psychological assessment tools and report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, client-centred care.
- A passion for contributing to the growth of an innovative and collaborative private practice.
