Job Description
We're looking for enthusiastic and fun piano and violin teacher who can adapt quickly to student interests! Part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Making sure the student enjoys the lesson while teaching them the fundamentals of their instrument.
- Helping prepare students to perform in front of an audience at recitals.
- Taking part in training sessions and meeting with other teachers.
- Create one-on-one lesson plans to suit the different learning styles of individual students, in a fun and engaging manner
- Teaching one-on-one lessons lasting from 30 minutes to 60 minutes
- Incorporate various techniques, music theory and/or history for every lesson
- Building a strong relationship with students while guiding them through their musical journey
- Give brief feedback to parents and the staff of the student’s progress
- Willing to collaborate with other teachers
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong theory background
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Able to communicate effectively with students, parents and other teachers
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work weekday evenings
- Responsible and passionate about teaching
