Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Agricultural Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of farm machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair various farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Perform maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and Caterpillar machinery
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for repairs and assembly tasks
- Conduct electrical repairs on industrial equipment and farm machinery
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist with the installation and assembly of new machinery or equipment
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with farm machinery, heavy equipment operation, and industrial equipment maintenance
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, welding, schematics, and HVAC systems related to agricultural machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, excavators, and other heavy equipment safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently
- Highly team driven
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Prior experience working with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is preferred
- Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads as required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
