About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Finishing (Assistant) Site Superintendent to join our construction management team. This unique role offers the opportunity to hit the ground running on an exciting active development, see it through to completion, and seamlessly transition into managing a brand-new project currently at the framing stages.
You will start by supporting the critical final finishing stages of our current multi-family project, Oakwoods. As we wrap up and deliver those homes, in approximately 2 months time, you will transition directly over to our upcoming Cook Street project—a boutique, 49-unit premium condominium development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled assistant superintendent looking to own the finishing process, manage trade performance, and grow their career with a stable, quality-driven developer.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Coordination & Management: Day-to-day coordination of finishing trades, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure work meets our premium quality standards.
- Construction Scheduling: Assist in creating, tracking, and strictly enforcing the finishing schedule to meet occupancy deadlines.
- Quality Assurance & Deficiency Management: Conduct detailed walkthroughs, identify deficiencies, manage the punch list, and coordinate trades to complete touch-ups rapidly.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all site activities strictly adhere to WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.
What You Bring
- Proven Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Finishing Site Superintendent on multi-family wood-frame or concrete residential projects.
- Trade & Schedule Management: Demonstrated experience managing sub-trades, reviewing work quality, and holding partners accountable to construction schedules.
- The "Finishing Eye": A sharp eye for detail, paint, millwork, flooring, and overall finishing quality.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern construction management software for tracking deficiencies and schedules is highly asset-rich.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and standard safety certifications (CSO, OFA 1, etc.) are preferred.
Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
