Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1A Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles over long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, vehicle maintenance, and freight handling, with a commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1A heavy-duty trucks for long-distance freight deliveries across regional and national routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle operability during trips
- Manage freight documentation, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Experience
- Valid Class 1A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts for loading/unloading freight
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety standards in logistics operations
- Basic automotive repair skills beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance during trips
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various conditions

Pay: $28.83-$38.90 per hour
