Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily MIG welding, to fabricate and assemble metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure precision and safety in all tasks. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on manufacturing, construction, and assembly projects.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine specifications and welding requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to shape and prepare materials for welding
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment as needed for material handling and positioning
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure weld integrity and dimensional accuracy
- Assist with machining, assembly, and ductwork fabrication as required for project completion
- Maintain a clean work area adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving schematics and mechanical systems
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in rigging, machining, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and blueprint reading
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work
- Construction or manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with ductwork or assembly is advantageous
- Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings necessary for precise fabrication
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
