Key Responsibilities:
Pricing & Quotation
-
Ocean Export Pricing and Booking
-
Prepare accurate and timely pricing for 3PL services, including international and domestic freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, distribution, value‑added services, and final‑mile delivery
-
Analyze carrier buy rates, market conditions, fuel trends, and accessorial costs to develop competitive, margin‑compliant pricing
-
Structure quotes as all‑inclusive, itemized, lane‑based, contractual, or spot pricing depending on customer and shipment requirements
-
Ensure pricing reflects shipment details, Incoterms, service levels, compliance requirements, and operational constraints
-
Maintain pricing validity periods and clearly communicate exclusions, surcharges, and assumptions
-
Maintain excellent relations with clients and agent
Booking of Won Freight
-
Coordinate and execute the booking of won freight once pricing is accepted by the customer
-
Book shipments with carriers, vendors, or internal operations teams in accordance with approved commercial terms
-
Ensure booking details accurately reflect quoted rates, routing, service levels, free time, and accessorial expectations
-
Provide complete and accurate shipment information to Operations to support smooth file creation and execution
-
Monitor booking confirmations, cut‑off times, and capacity availability, escalating issues when required
-
Support Operations during initial execution to ensure alignment between sales commitments and service delivery
Internal Coordination & Controls
-
Work closely with Operations to ensure pricing and bookings are operationally feasible.

Collaborate with Finance to meet margin targets and obtain approvals for pricing exceptions
-
Maintain clear handoff documentation from pricing through booking to billing.

Ensure compliance with internal pricing policies, billing procedures, and approval frameworks
-
Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Manager

Stay abreast current and upcoming regulations
Customer & Sales Support
-
Support external sales teams and clients with rate enquiries, clarifications, and pricing revisions
-
Respond promptly to customer quote requests and booking changes.
-
Assist in maintaining long‑term customer relationships through reliable pricing and execution support
Main Requirements:
-
At least 3 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry
-
Excellent working knowledge of export and import freight movements
-
CIFFA certified is an asset
-
Knowledge of Steamship line and NVOCC contracts and other online pricing tools
-
Proficiency with computers is a must; advanced knowledge of Excel
-
Solid communication skills (French written and verbal are assets).

Strong organization skills and is detailed oriented
