About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Professional Practice Lead in each of the following disciplines:

1.0 FTE Occupational Therapist (OT)
Are you passionate about advancing clinical excellence and supporting the growth of others? As a Professional Practice Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of care at KidsAbility by strengthening professional practice, fostering innovation, and supporting clinicians to provide exceptional, family-centred services. Reporting to a Vice President of Client Services and working collaboratively across the organization, you will serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and advocate for evidence-informed practice, helping to ensure the highest standards of care for children, youth, and families.
What You’ll Do:

Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure discipline-specific practice standards, licensing requirements, and KidsAbility service standards are met

Lead and enhance discipline-specific service delivery through evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and innovation initiatives
-
Act as a subject matter expert to support complex cases, interdisciplinary collaboration, and integrated care planning
-
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, recruitment support, and facilitating ongoing professional learning and competency growth

Advance service quality and operational excellence through continuous improvement, risk management, workload monitoring, and clinical documentation oversight

Foster collaborative partnerships across teams and with external stakeholders to enhance coordinated, family-centred care

Promote equitable, responsive services that meet the diverse needs of children and families
What You Bring:
To qualify, applicants must have 3–5 years of clinical experience (pediatric rehabilitation experience is an asset) and a Masters’ degree in a relevant clinical discipline and registration in good standing with the applicable professional college:

Speech-Language Pathologist registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)

Occupational Therapist registered with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario (COTO)
Applicants should have the following skill and ability:

Strong knowledge of discipline-specific standards, legislation, ethical practices, pediatric care, and evidence-informed approaches

Sound clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex and/or evolving contexts

Ability to design and deliver engaging educational content, support effective mentorship, and identify appropriate learning needs
-
Demonstrated ability to accept, navigate, and adapt through change, positively influencing and leading others to do the same.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and influence positive outcomes.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills, with the ability to foster strong partnerships across all levels of the organization.

High degree of discretion through demonstrated ability to adhere to confidentiality standards and show superior emotional intelligence and professionalism.

Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities, meet strict deadlines and have excellent follow-up.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of AlayaCare or other electronic charting software

Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with public liability/property damage coverage as travel may be required
