Job Overview
Richmond Gourmet is looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Servers to join our team.
The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. Previous customer service experience is required.
As a Server, you will help create a welcoming dining experience by providing attentive service, accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and supporting the restaurant team throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Enter orders and process payments using the restaurant’s POS system
- Serve food and drinks efficiently
- Check on customers throughout their visit and respond to requests promptly
- Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations
- Assist with takeout and pickup orders
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Clear, clean, and reset tables
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and service stations
- Restock supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
- Assist coworkers during busy periods
Qualifications
- Valid Smart Serve certification is required
- Previous restaurant, serving, or customer service experience is an asset
- Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Able to manage multiple tables and tasks during busy periods
- Comfortable handling payments and performing basic calculations
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
