We are seeking a Senior Shop Assembler to join our growing team! This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing technician with strong assembly and technical skills who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys hands-on work.
The role involves advanced assembly, troubleshooting and supporting daily shop operations, including assisting the Shop Lead with workflow coordination and work priorities.
Responsibilities also include maintaining quality and safety standards, helping manage project priorities and providing leadership support in the absence of the Shop Lead to ensure efficient shop operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a shop assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or technical environment
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools and shop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical or assembly-related issues
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support and collaborate effectively within a team environment

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform advanced assembly, installation, maintenance and technical work on shop projects
- Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications and technical documents
- Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist with diagnosing equipment or project challenges
- Support the Shop Lead with daily workflow coordination and work priorities
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing to shop team members
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced assemblers
- Perform quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards
- Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Support safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized shop environment
- Assist with special projects and operational tasks as required
- Provide support to shop operations during the Shop Lead’s absence
Hourly wage may be adjusted based on skillset & performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
