Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum, promoting child development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in our care. We will accept applications without a level but there will be a timeframe to complete your level one.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood development.
- Create lesson plans with your room partners that incorporate literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain an organized learning environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage social skills and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student development and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
- Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment that adheres to child welfare standards.
Skills
- Strong experience with children in various settings, including daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
- Proficient in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with students who require special education support or tutoring.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures as they relate to early childhood education.
- Ability to integrate Montessori methods into teaching practices when applicable.
