Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Framers to join our construction team. This role involves building and installing structural frameworks for various projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction experience, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Candidates with knowledge of blueprint reading, concrete forming, siding, and welding will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and physical endurance.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate framing of structures
- Construct, install, and repair frameworks using wood, concrete forms, siding, and other materials
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently to complete framing tasks
- Perform concrete finishing and form work for foundations and other structural components
- Utilize hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, and measuring devices to ensure precise measurements and assembly
- Conduct welding as needed for structural reinforcement or custom fabrication
- Assist in restoration projects by replacing or repairing existing framing structures
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate construction activities
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, concrete forming, siding installation, or general construction work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and concrete finishing processes
- Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work on elevated or challenging sites
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites and equipment operation
- Valid <PERSON> (or relevant) certification/license preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience with restoration projects is a plus
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions
