- Inspection and Diagnosis: Conducting thorough inspections of trailers to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Repair and Maintenance: Performing repairs on trailer frames, bodies, and related components, which may include welding, metal fabrication, and panel replacement.
- Component Replacement: Replacing damaged or worn-out parts, such as suspension systems, braking systems, axles, and electrical components.
- Welding and Fabrication: Utilizing welding techniques to repair or fabricate trailer parts, ensuring structural integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring all repairs and maintenance comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Documentation: Recording all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed on the trailer.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
- Physical Demands: Performing tasks that require physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in various positions (e.g., kneeling, crouching, climbing).
- Technical Skills: Having a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in trailers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to diagnose and repair issues.
- Welding Skills: Experience with welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and potentially other specialized welding processes.
- Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of basic electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
- Physical Strength and Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various positions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement repairs effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard and meet safety requirements.

- Experience: Previous experience of 1-2 years as a trailer mechanic or technician is MUST.
