Parkland Dental Associates is a modern, patient-focused dental clinic in the heart of Stony Plain, Alberta. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care in a warm and friendly environment. We're currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our clinical team.
As an RDH at Parkland, you’ll play a key role in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. This is a dynamic position that blends clinical expertise with compassionate care in a collaborative, technologically advanced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care & Preventative Treatment
- Conduct dental hygiene assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings
- Provide scaling, root planing, and polish treatments
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (if certified)
- Apply sealants and fluoride treatments
- Take and maintain accurate patient records, including digital radiographs, iTero Scans and intraoral photos
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and personalized home care routines
- Collaborate with dentists for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Ensure operatory is clean, stocked, and prepared for each patient
Patient Experience
- Build trust and rapport with patients, creating a calm and welcoming environment
- Clearly explain treatments, procedures, and after-care instructions
- Support continuity of care through effective communication with team members
- Maintain professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail at every visit
What You Bring:
- Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists (ACDH)
- Local anesthesia certification preferred
- Familiarity with dental software (Curve Hero experience is an asset)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
